Brisbane Kite Festival 2011
The Brisbane Kite Festival will be held on Sunday, 9th October 2011 from 10am – 4pm at the Murarrie Sports Centre. Entry is Free! Attending the Brisbane Kite Festival will be a fantastic day for the whole family with the most spectacular kites ever seen over the skies of Brisbane. A sea of colour highlights beautifully crafted masterpieces.
Don’t look up too long or you’ll miss the action on the ground. Food and market stalls, kite workshops, and lots of entertainment.

The kite flying on the day is segregated into two distinct areas:
- QKS display and performance area
- Public free flying area
Bring your own kite to fly, or buy one from our stall on the day!
The Brisbane Kite Festival is held at the Murarrie Recreation Ground, 1182 Wynnum Road, Cannon Hill
