Yes! Kites will be available for purchase to suit all budgets.
Is car parking available?
Yes, car parking onsite is available – however in years gone past it has been very busy, please consider parking at Kate St, Carina or Container St, Tingalpa and walking 15min to the event.
What if it’s raining / Predicted Rain?
The day will go ahead unless otherwise publicised. If details do change, kite festival news will be posted on this website as soon as they occur. We’re all hoping for blue skies with plenty of breeze to keep the kites flying.
I’m interested in being a stall holder – how do I apply?
Get in contact with us via the contact form. Please give us as much information about your stall/product range etc. and how you would like to participate and we will get back to you asap.
How can I participate?
You can participate by bringing the whole family along to enjoy a day of fun and kite flying! You can also help by telling your friends about the day!
Where do the proceeds of the day go?
The Rotary Clubs of Carindale, and Brisbane South East will use the proceeds for local and international community projects.
Can I bring my dog to the event?
Porter’s Paddock Park and the surrounding Minnippi Parklands is a public park and while organising Rotary Clubs have booked the park with Brisbane City Council for use during the Kite Festival, the council by-laws regarding dogs in public places remain unchanged i.e. dogs must be supervised and on a leash at all times. Our aim is to provide a family friendly, fun day in the park with the chance to fly a kite and/or watch the experts. Please consider how your beloved pet will behave among crowds.
